Evidence has been given by Professor John Dewar, the former University of Wollongong interim vice-chancellor, at ICAC.
On Thursday, ICAC heard that the Professor wasn’t interested in the role at the Uni, unless there was benefit to his company ‘KordaMentha’.
When Counsel assisting the ICAC Emma Bathurst, asked Professor Dewar if he’d considered the conflict of interest – being vice-chancellor – and having his company getting Uni work, he responded ‘Yes’ – but thought it could be managed, if declared properly.
