Kiama has hosted Premier Chris Minns’ first Community Cabinet of 2026, with more than 300-people showing up.
At the cabinet, Council reps pushed Kiama’s case for greater investment in the local area, with Mayor Cameron McDonald and Council CEO Jane Stroud, meeting with the Premier to talk over some big-picture projects on Kiama’s advocacy list.
They include things like restrictive covenants on Council-owned land, upgrading of the Bombo Waste Treatment Plant, and funding for the Kiama Sports Complex.
