St George Illawarra’s reportedly closing in on another major signing.
The Dragons are eyeing off Warriors halfback Luke Metcalf for 2027 onwards, with rivals Canterbury passing on the playmaker’s $1M per season price tag.
If signed, Metcalf would become the Dragons’ second big money recruit in weeks, following last month’s multi-million dollar deal for Scott Drinkwater.
