Suburbs right along the Illawarra coast are being urged to be vigilant, ahead of potentially dangerous thunderstorms and destructive winds.
The weather system is expected to track east over today, and into Thursday night across central and inland NSW, the Illawarra and NSW south coast.
Widespread heavy rain is possible, with the risk of gusty winds and heavy rain along the Illawarra coast tonight into Thursday, with damaging and locally destructive winds due to thunderstorms possible.
