Wollongong City Council is after community feedback, to include a café as an ‘additional permitted use’, of the site currently trading as ‘Cakes by Rach’.
The popular Port Kembla business has been involved in discussions with Council for some time, after it was deemed in October 2024, that use of the site as a café is not permitted due to the ‘current zoning’.
Council says a Planning Proposal for the site, is on exhibition until Friday 26 September 2025.
