Shellharbour City Council is charging ahead with two new electric vehicle EV public charging
stations set to be installed at Lake Illawarra and Warilla.
These new chargers will build on the growing network already available in Shellharbour City
Centre, Shell Cove, Albion Park Rail and Albion Park, making charging easier and more
accessible across the city.
The new dual chargers will be installed at Reddall Reserve, Lake Illawarra kiosk carpark, and Beverley Avenue, Warilla carpark.
The project is supported by funding from the NSW Government’s EV Kerbside Charging Grant,
which aims to make it easier for people to charge electric vehicles close to home, especially in
built-up areas.
Mayor Chris Homer said the new chargers were a step towards a cleaner, greener future
