After a successful trial earlier this year, Aussie fans declared that McGriddles “needs to drop nationwide ASAP.” Now, the wait is over and the viral McGriddles range is officially joining the national Breakfast menu!
McGriddles are the undisputed champions of mornings and have earned their place as one of McDonald’s top breakfast items worldwide.
The new McGriddles range includes:
- Plain McGriddles: Two warm maple infused pancakes
- Sausage and Cheese McGriddles: Macca’s iconic beef sausage patty and melty cheese between two soft, warm maple infused pancakes
- Bacon, Egg and Cheese McGriddles: rasher bacon, egg omelette and a slice of melty cheese between two soft, warm maple infused pancakes
- Sausage, Egg and Cheese McGriddles: Macca’s iconic beef sausage patty, egg omelette and a slice of melty cheese between two soft, warm maple infused pancakes
Amanda Nakad, Marketing Director of Menu and Brand for McDonald’s Australia said: “Our Aussie fans absolutely obsessed over the sweet and savoury flavours of McGriddles when we trialled it earlier this year.
“Safe to say, we got the message and gave our iconic breakfast menu a glow up by adding it to the national menu. The McGriddles range joins our other main characters: crispy hash browns, toasted McMuffins, cracked eggs, and the new rich and round McCafé blend which hit restaurants last month.”
McGriddles have been a fan favourite in select McDonald’s markets like the United States, Canada, Japan, and Hong Kong for over two decades. Now, the wait is finally over, Australia is joining the McGriddles club! Starting Wednesday, July 9, Aussies can get a taste of this iconic breakfast treat. Aussie McGriddle fans, are you ready?
