NSW SES Units have been busy with storm damage work across the past 24 hours.
The Wollongong Unit said teams have been busy, attending to trees that have fallen, and damage caused by roof sheeting and other materials coming loose.
201 incidents have been received since early Wednesday morning, with crews working into Wednesday night to assist the community.
Meantime, Endeavour Energy said their emergency crews worked late into the night, to restore electricity to all but 1,270 customers affected by Wednesday’s wild winds, that battered the Illawarra, the South Coast and parts of the Southern Highlands.
Fresh crews are arriving from Western Sydney this morning, to support their South Coast colleagues to help inspect, make safe, and then repair, around 295-reported electrical hazards, and complete the more complex jobs.
