Wollongong City Council has called on residents to be very aware, that it’s the time of year when feral Deer are on the move.

Council is urging everyone to be wary when out driving or riding, especially around the escarpment fringe where Deer are more likely to emerge in the cooler months of the year.

Council has been part of the Illawarra Feral Deer Management Program from its inception in 20-11, and works with Southeast Local Land Services, National Parks, the RSPCA, NSW Police and private landholders to cull feral deer.
