Up north in Byron Bay, where the kombucha flows freely and grudges against the ocean run deep, lives Dave “Rasta” Rastovich — self-appointed wavefighter, part-time surfer, and full-time legend. He doesn’t chase trophies. He chases waves, physically argues with them, and occasionally turns his attention to surfers when the sea needs a breather.
Dave vs The Ocean
Dave doesn’t ride waves.. He fights them. No boards, no finesse, just fists flying as he punches the water into submission. While the rest of us duck-dive, Dave steps up, throws hands, and lets the ocean know who’s boss. It’s pure Byron energy, but the Illawarra understands it too: sometimes the sea isn’t for surfing, it’s for settling personal beefs

Breaking Illawarra news: Wave 96.5’s Lyndal and Crammy were spotted at Port Kembla Beach earlier today, filming a strong rebuttal to… something.
Waves? Rumours? Possibly Dave himself. Sources say the surf was average, but the commentary was elite.
