Wollongong City Council has helped eight sport clubs kick some goals, through their annual Sports Grant Program.
The clubs including the Wollongong District Cricket Club, Corrimal Cougars Rugby League, Wollongong District Cricket Club, and Balgownie Junior Football Club, will share in almost $400,000 for improvements.
Since 2008, the program has offered opportunities for clubs and associations, to apply for a grant from $5,000 up to $100,000.
