Wollongong has stepped onto the world stage, as a new member of the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities.
The city joining others like Cairo, Lisbon, Hanoi and Buenos Aires, in a recognition that celebrates the city’s commitment to lifelong learning for all.
Wollongong’s journey began in 2021 with the launch of the Learning City Project and has been shaped by broad community consultation.
