The United Services Union plans to hold a public meeting, to discuss the contents of a Report into the future, of Kiama’s Blue Haven Aged Care facility.
The USU claims that Kiama Council, is misinforming the community about the plan to sell off aged care services, as a means of managing its financial problems.
USU General Secretary Graeme Kelly, says it’s disappointing that Kiama Council, appears not to care about those in the community, who depend on its aged care services and are preparing to abandon them.
The meeting is set for 6pm today, at The Pavilion Kiama.
