The growth of the women’s game has reignited one of the region’s most successful rugby league partnerships.
From 2027 onwards, the Illawarra Steelers and St George Dragons will compete as one within the NSW Women’s Premiership as the St George Illawarra Dragons.
The move will bring senior pathways under one banner, helping create a smoother transition from the state competition through to the NRLW.
