At around 3:35pm Wednesday 15 April 2026, emergency services were called to a unit on Corrimal Street, Wollongong following reports of a stabbing.
A man aged in his 40s was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for a stab wound to the abdomen before he was taken to Wollongong hospital in a stable condition.
A woman also suffered abrasions and was taken to Wollongong hospital for treatment.

An unknown man and woman left the scene prior to the arrival of police.
Officers attached to Wollongong Police established a crime scene and inquiries to locate the men continue.
