Pollution at 10 beaches likely today

The NSW Government’s Beach Watch scheme, has advised we can expected bacterial pollution at a number of our beaches today.

While Bombo and Surf Beach at Kiama are expected to the worst hit, Boyd Jones, Werri and Seven Mile beach are also on the list.

Other beaches affected include Austinmer, Thirroul, Bulli and Woonona, along with Warilla and Shellharbour beaches.

Beach Watch says as a general precaution, swimming at beaches in the Illawarra, should be avoided for up to one day after heavy rainfall, or for as long as stormwater is present.
