Domestic violence offenders have been targeted in a major police operation across Lake Illawarra.
Three people have been charged with a total of 18 offences following yesterday’s blitz, which included multiple apprehended domestic violence order, firearms and bail compliance checks, along with searches and drug detections.
One arrest at a Barrack Heights home saw a 36 year old man charged over an alleged incident in Mangerton in April, where he’s accused of threatening a woman with a metal pole.
Another man is facing 13 charges following an alleged police pursuit from Warrawong to Lake Illawarra.
The 27 year old was located in a backyard on View Street, where police deployed a Taser during his arrest.
Officers were also called to a home in Port Kembla, where a 27 year old woman was arrested after allegedly smashing a window at a property linked to a man known to her.
She’s been charged with property damage, issued an ADVO, and granted conditional bail to appear in court later this month.
