Marine Rescue Shellharbour in late night rescue

Marine Rescue Shellharbour reports a rescue has been carried out, for a vessel 22nm out to sea off Shellharbour.

Reports are the vessel reported being in distress, with 1m seas, and 4 to 5m swell.

Social media posts indicate that a number of local teenagers were part of the rescue effort, with the crews working for over seven hours.

Marine Rescue Shellharbour says on social media, the crew were reported home safe at around three am.
