A man’s been left with serious head injuries following a violent daylight assault on a Warrawong street.
Two men had allegedly attacked the 43 year old with a hammer on Oxlade Street today around 2.30pm, taking off before emergency crews arrived on scene.
The man has since been airlifted to a Sydney hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police are now working to track down the alleged culprits, urging anyone with information or dashcam footage to get in touch.
