Today is the inaugural Red and Yellow Day, a nationwide celebration to recognise the thousands of Surf Life Saving volunteers who dedicate their time to keeping our beaches safe, and the community is encouraged to get behind their local surf club after a big summer season.
Red and Yellow Day invites all Australians to show their support for surf lifesavers, the men and women who show up, season after season.
Fundraising efforts are also underway with five of our local clubs – Helensburgh-Stanwell Park, Bellambi, North Wollongong, Shellharbour, and Gerringong.
