St George Illawarra has granted rising NRLW star Indie Bostock an early release from her contract on compassionate grounds, just six months after she made her top grade debut.
The Dragons have confirmed the 19 year old Figtree product has been freed from the remaining two years of her deal, despite the club pushing to keep her.
The decision comes days before Bostock heads to Las Vegas, where she will headline the Aus Vegas Angels at the upcoming Vegas Nines tournament.
Bostock played seven games in her debut NRLW season after progressing through the Dragons’ junior system, but requested a release late last year.
In a statement, the club said it had granted the request and wished her all the best in her future endeavours.
The Vegas Nines will mark Bostock’s first competitive hit out since her debut NRLW season, in which she played seven games in 2025. She will be one of the more experienced players in the Angels line-up, alongside fellow NRLW-exposed players Sophie Clancy and Georgia Willey.
Bostock’s release could also open the door to a future move interstate, potentially closer to family and personal support networks.
