A fire has torn through a vacant PCYC building in North Wollongong, prompting a large emergency response overnight.
Fire and Rescue NSW crews were called to Exeter Avenue just after 7pm, with around 50 firefighters and a dozen trucks battling the blaze.
Crews arrived to find the building already well alight, with thick black smoke and flames through the roof.
The fire drew a large crowd as firefighters worked to contain the damage.
The building had been unoccupied since storm and flood damage in 2024, and no injuries were reported.
A nearby soccer club gym was also damaged during the incident.
Fire and Rescue NSW is investigating the cause.
