Two men have been charged over the alleged use of a drone to deliver drugs in Wollongong.
Police were called to a unit complex in Corrimal Street on Tuesday just before midnight, following reports two men had been acting suspiciously.
The pair – aged 43 and 24 – allegedly told officers they were searching for a drone that had crashed inside the complex.
Officers found the drone shortly afterwards, which was allegedly carrying a doggie bag with 66grams of methylamphetamine.
Both men were taken into custody, police alleging they’d been using the drone to deliver drugs in the area.
A search of a home on Cliff Road yesterday afternoon in relation to the arrests allegedly uncovered a baton, stun gun, more drugs and more than $4,000 in cash.
The pair have both been refused bail to face Wollongong Local Court next month.
