22 illegal e-bikes have been seized after an NSW Police and Transport for NSW joint operation across southern Sydney and the Illawarra.
During the operation, that ran from 2pm and 8pm on Friday 16 October 2026, officers targeted illegal and modified e-bikes, that exceeded legal speed and power limits.
One incident saw an officer, hit by a bike on Aquatic Drive in the Shell Cove area when Police attempted to stop the rider, the 18-year-old man arrested, found hiding in Bass Reserve.
