A funding cut of more than 67 percent doesn’t work for Wollongong City Council, and it’ll let the state government know.
Council will formally lodge an objection to a proposed re-allocation of financial assistance grants, that would cut approximately $16 million per year from its budget in the next financial year.
The Grants Commission is reviewing its methodology for distributing funding, Council said their submission also indicates that the modelling is not backed by adequate data or supporting information.
