Shellharbour City Council has officially awarded the main works construction contract, for the Tripoli Way Extension.
It marks a significant major milestone in the delivery of Council’s largest infrastructure project, with the Tripoli Way Extension will deliver a new east-west transport connection, and bypass of the Albion Park town centre, to support the growing Albion Park community.
Key features of the project include:

- A two-kilometre road corridor
- A 30-metre bridge over Hazelton Creek
- Three signalised intersections
- Four traffic lanes between Terry Street and Moles Street
- Two traffic lanes between Moles Street and Broughton Avenue
- Connections to the Illawarra Highway in partnership with Transport for NSW
Council said that ‘Haslin Construction’s will deliver the project in partnership with Council.
