Voters in the Kiama Council By-Election have gone to the polls, to fill a vacant council seat following the resignation of Mike Cains in June.
Candidates Stanley Jarrett and Michael Bowden – now awaiting the outcome of the vote.
The latest data from the NSW Electoral Commission website, has Jarrett ahead of Bowden by just over 380 ordinary votes, as of 8.23pm, Saturday 22 August 2026.

Postal votes will be accepted until 4 September 2026, with counting expected to be completed by 7 September 2026.
