A local group is set to hold a rally on Saturday, calling for Wollongong City Council to get on the front foot over MacCabe Park.
Friends of MacCabe Park, want Council to make the park a ‘central city park’ that the community can be proud of, saying that there are other location options, for a proposed giant ‘competition-standard’ skatepark.
The group says Council has been dragging its feet for 20 years getting a thorough master plan together for the park, they’ll meet at 11am Saturday.
