Wollongong’s Animal Care and Impounding Service is celebrating a paws-itively impressive milestone, with the Pet Connection adoption program reaching its 1,000th successful adoption.
The program, which helps rehome animals in need, has found new families for 1,000 pets since launching just over two years ago.
Marking the milestone is Freda, an Aussie Kelpie mix, who this week became the latest four-legged friend to find her forever home.

Council says the achievement highlights the success of the program and the community’s ongoing support for animal adoption across the Wollongong region.
