Homegrown Dragon granted release to pursue new opportunity

The Dragons have granted local product Charlotte Basham a release from the final year of her deal.

The former Corrimal Cougars junior’s made 17 NRLW appearances for the Red V since her debut in 2023.

“Charlotte requested a release from the final year of her deal to take on an opportunity with another club and, given our squad balance, we have opted not to stand in the way of it,” General Manager Female Football Sammy Bremner said.

“She’s a local junior who progressed through our pathways system up into the NRLW. Her professionalism has always been outstanding, and we’d like to wish her all the very best in her next chapter.”
