The Illawarra-Shoalhaven Local Health District’s issued a new measles alert, today confirming two new local cases of the disease.
Both infections were acquired in the community, linked to earlier exposure sites.
New exposure times and locations are available now on the NSW Health website.
Anyone who visited listed locations is being warned to monitor for symptoms, including fever, sore eyes, runny nose and a cough, usually followed three or four days later by a red, blotchy rash that spreads from the head to the rest of the body.
If you or a loved one experiences symptoms, seek medical advice from a GP or Healthdirect on 1800 022 222.
