The Rescue Helicopter Service says it was called into Shellharbour on Monday afternoon.
At about 2.20pm, NSW Ambulance called it in for an urgent inter-hospital transfer, from Shellharbour Hospital to Royal North Shore Hospital.
A female in her 70s suffering a serious medical condition, was stabilised by the N-S-W Ambulance critical care paramedic, and a NSW Health doctor, from the helicopter’s critical care medical team, before being airlifted to Sydney.
