Spending data for Wollongong economy released

Wollongong City Council has released it’s latest Wollongong Economic Insights report, detailing recent economic data.

Council says the reports data, indicates that in the 12-months to December 2025, local in-store spending across Wollongong Local Government Area reached $2.9B, which is up 0.7% year-on-year.

Spending in the Wollongong CBD totalled $622M, while residents of Wollongong Local Government Area spent $6.5B nationally in-store and online.
