Shellharbour City Council has broken ground on the Yellow Rock Road Upgrade in Tullimbar, moving the project from planning into construction.
The ground-breaking ceremony, held on 13 February 2026, was attended by Shellharbour City Mayor Chris Homer, Member for Whitlam Carol Berry and representatives from Cleary Bros., who have
been appointed to deliver the project.
The upgrade will improve Yellow Rock Road between the Illawarra Highway and Araluen Terrace, helping increase road safety, pedestrian access and connectivity for the growing community.
