A man has been charged after allegedly posing as a police officer and pulling over two drivers in the Illawarra last month.
The incidents unfolded on January 14, when two motorists were stopped within half an hour of each other on separate roads at Primbee and Shell Cove, in what appeared to be an undercover police car with flashing red and blue lights.
The man had reportedly demanded licences from both drivers, each later reporting the incidents to police.

Following an investigation, the 18 year old was arrested at a home in Dapto yesterday and taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station.
He has been charged with impersonating a police officer, and has been granted bail to appear in Port Kembla Local Court next month.
