The release of Australia’s FIH Pro League squads has confirmed strong representation from the Illawarra.
Hockey Australia today announced the men’s and women’s teams for the upcoming series in Hobart, with two local athletes securing their places on the national stage.
Gerringong’s Grace Stewart will lead the Hockeyroos, co-captaining the squad alongside Kaitlin Nobbs and Claire Colwill.
Meanwhile, Wollongong’s Blake Govers has again been named in the Kookaburras lineup.
The selections come as anticipation builds for the first major fixtures of the 2026 hockey calendar, with the Kookaburras first hitting the turf against Pakistan on Tuesday, 10th February.
The Hockeyroos will open their campaign with a clash against Argentina on Wednesday, 11th February.
