A man has been charged following an alleged serious assault in Shellharbour.
At around 10.40pm on Friday 23 January 2026, emergency services were called to Addison Street, Shellharbour, after reports of an alleged assault, which left a man injured on the footpath.
NSW Ambulance treated a 36-year-old man for a broken jaw, a fractured eye socket, and other head injuries, he was taken to Wollongong Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Lake Illawarra Police arrested a 21-year-old man on Tuesday; he fronted court on Wednesday.
