Tonight is the night to get the kids outside and look up into the sky and out into the universe, as we're expecting the peak of a double meteor shower.
Without getting in to too much of the boring science, there is currently a meteor shower that's been going for a few nights, with a second one, starting tonight, and between the two of them, we should be able to see up to 30 meteors per hour.
Best rug up though, with our western suburbs expected to hit lows of around 6 degrees Celsius tonight.
According to experts, the best time to catch a glimpse is around midnight, however showers/clouds have been forecast for that time, but should be clear by 3am, so perhaps an early bed and early rise is on the cards.
