Work to install a red light speed camera in the Dapto CBD will get underway this Sunday night.
The device is being installed near McDonalds, northbound on the Princes Highway at the intersection with Moombara Street.
Transport for NSW said it will take a week to put in with work commencing this Sunday night.
"Work will be carried out between 8pm and 5am Sunday to Friday and between 7am and 5pm Monday to Friday, weather permitting," a statement said.
"Single lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists."
Access will be maintained for businesses and residents during the work.
