All southbound lanes of the M1 Princes Motorway are closed at Cataract Creek due to a serious car crash.
One of two northbound lanes is also closed.
Light vehicles are being diverted onto the Princes Highway through Bulli Pass.
Heavy vehicles heading south can divert at Heathcote Road and use the Hume Highway and Picton Road.
Alternatively, heavy vehicles can use Appin Road, Narellan Road and the Hume Motorway instead.
Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time, emergency crews and crash investigators are on site.
Just before 8.30am NSW Ambulance was called to reports of an incident involving two cars on the Princess Motorway at Mount Ousley.
- 5 paramedic road crews and two specialist medical teams consisting of a Critical Care Doctor and a Critical Care Paramedic responded to the scene.
- On arrival, Paramedics assessed 4 patients, two of which required transport to hospital;
- A male believed to be aged in his 40’s had suffered significant leg injuries and was taken to Wollongong Hospital in a serious but stable condition
- A male also believed to be in his 40’s was suffering from chest pain and was transported to Wollongong hospital in a stable condition.
