Car ends up inside Bomaderry house

A house has sustained major damage after a motor vehicle crashed through its front wall overnight.

South Coast Police, NSW Fire and Rescue, as well as Ambulance Rescue crews were called to the intersection of Lyndhurst Drive and Leonard Street at Bomaderry at about 10.30 pm.

NSW Ambulance said there was one person in the vehicle.

A spokesperson said the driver was lucky to escape uninjured and did not need treatment.

Structural engineers have been called in to assess the extent of damage to the house.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
