Illawarra Shoalhaven COVID-19 case numbers stay low


The Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District has recorded four COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

  • One is from the 2526 postcode in the Wollongong Local Government Area, investigations are ongoing
  • One is from the 2527 postcode is the Shellharbour LGA and is linked to a known case
  • Two are from the 2541 postcode in the Shoalhaven LGA and are linked to known cases

There have been 2,474 local cases of COVID-19 in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District since the start of the current outbreak in June.

As of 8pm Wednesday 10 November, there were nine patients being treated in hospital as a result of COVID-19


NSW recorded 261 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

Three new cases were acquired overseas and 10 cases have been excluded following further investigation, bringing the total number of cases in NSW since the beginning of the pandemic to 77,482.

NSW Health is reporting the death of a woman in her 60's from south-western Sydney at Sutherland Hospital, she was not vaccinated and had underlying health conditions.

There are currently 228 COVID-19 cases admitted to hospital, with 40 people in intensive care, 16 of whom require ventilation.

There were 77,009 COVID-19 tests reported to 8pm last night, compared with the previous day’s total of 95,804.

To 11:59pm on Tuesday 9 November 2021 across NSW, 94 per cent of people aged 16 and over had received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 90.4 per cent were fully vaccinated.

In the 12-15 year old age group, 80.3 per cent have had their first dose, and 71.1 per cent are fully vaccinated.

The total number of vaccines administered in NSW is now 12,608,060.
