Wollongong Shellharbour Kiama COVID-19 case free


The Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District has recorded one COVID-19 case in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

The case is from the 2541 postcode in the Shoalhaven Local Government Area, and investigations are ongoing.

There have been 2,470 local cases of COVID-19 in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District since the start of the current outbreak in June.

The local testing rate continues to remain steady with 21,346 COVID-19 tests undertaken throughout the District in the past week.

As at 8pm Tuesday 9 November, there were 12 patients being treated in hospital as a result of COVID-19.


NSW recorded 216 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.

No new cases were acquired overseas, one new case was acquired interstate and seven cases have been excluded following further investigation, this brings the total number of cases in NSW since the beginning of the pandemic to 77,228.

To 11:59pm on Monday 8 November 2021 across NSW, 94 per cent of people aged 16 and over had received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 90.1 per cent were fully vaccinated.

In the 12-15 year old age group, 80.2 per cent have had their first dose, and 70.4 per cent are fully vaccinated.

The total number of vaccines administered in NSW is now 12,581,540.
