NSW recorded 406 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night, from over 85,000 tests.
There are currently 711 COVID-19 cases admitted to hospital, with 143 people in intensive care, 75 of whom require ventilation. Sadly, NSW Health is reporting the deaths of six people - three women and three men.
Across NSW, 91.1 per cent of people aged 16 and over have received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 76.5 per cent are fully vaccinated to 11.59pm on Tuesday 12 October 2021. In the 12-15 year old age group, 71 per cent have had their first dose, and 23.3 per cent are fully vaccinated. The total number of vaccines administered in NSW is now 11,293,208
