The Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District has broken down the latest COVID-19 case numbers for the region.
For the 24 hour period to 8pm Thursday, 23 September there were 103 new COVID-19 cases recorded for the Local Health District:
- 82 cases are residents of Wollongong Local Government Area, 18 are linked to known cases, investigations are continuing for 64
- 14 cases are residents of Shellharbour LGA, eight are linked to known cases, six are under investigation
- Five cases are residents of Shoalhaven LGA, three are linked to known cases, two are under investigation
- Two cases are residents of Kiama LGA, both are linked to known cases
NSW Health reminds everyone that it remains vital that anyone who has any symptoms or is a close or casual contact of a person with COVID-19, isolates and is tested immediately.
When testing clinics are busy, please ensure you stay in line, identify yourself to staff and tell them that you have symptoms or are a contact of a case.
Please check the NSW Government website regularly, and follow the relevant health advice if you have attended a venue of concern or travelled on a public transport route at the same time as a confirmed case of COVID-19.
