Cringila Hills 'pump track' tender approved

A $1.59M tender for the construction of a pump track, bike skills playground and stormwater drainage system was accepted by Wollongong City Council at its meeting on Monday 13 September 2021.

The design of the pump track will cater for users of all types of bicycles, skateboards, scooters, roller skates and roller blades and will be fun for the whole family and is set within the Cringila Hills Recreation Precinct.

The mountain bike skills playground will be a purpose-built facility for practicing mountain bike riding skills with jump features linked together with other features such as berms, rock gardens, and log roll overs.

“The acceptance of this tender marks the start of the next phase of work in this exciting project and brings the total among Council has budgeted for this site for the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 financial years to about $4M,’’ Wollongong City Lord Mayor Councillor Gordon Bradbery AM said.
