Firefighters were called to a flaming mess on Picton Road on Saturday night after a semi-trailer burst into flames.
It took crews more than three hours to extinguish the blaze and clean up a diesel leak.
Mount Keira RFS responded along with other Emergency Services around 6.45pm.
"Crews arrived to find the truck, carrying a large quantity of diesel well alight and immediately got to action with breathing apparatus to attack the fire and prevent further spillage of fuels," the Mount Keira Brigade said.
The rig was destroyed but no injuries were reported.
