St George Illawarra centre Zac Lomax will be sweating on scan results after suffering a suspected broken thumb midway through the first half of last night's 16-8 loss to the Tigers in Wollongong.
Lomax was in the mix to play origin for the Blues but is looking at a stint on the sidelines which will further stretch coach Anthony Griffin's playing depth.
"I'm more worried about him playing for us, not for NSW at the moment.
"They've got to have a look at it.
"There was a dislocation there, they're not sure if there was any other damage," Griffin said.
Winger Cody Ramsey is looking at sometime out after breaking a rib.
The club is yet to release any further details about his injury.
Last night's loss was the Red V's third straight but they are still clinging to sixth spot on the NRL ladder.
