Wollongong and Shellharbour sporting groups receive funding

A number of sporting groups in the Wollongong and Shellharbour areas, will share in NSW Government sporting grants.

Member for Wollongong Paul Scully, says under the 2020/21 Wollongong Electorate Local Sport Grant program, clubs including the Illawarra District Netball Association, Berkeley Sports Rugby League Club, and Unanderra Hearts Soccer Club, have scored a share in $50,000 funding.

The groups have received the funding, under one of four categories which includes sport access, sport development, community sport event, and facility development.

Eight local sporting organisations from the Shellharbour electorate will share in $50,000 in funding under the NSW Government’s Local Sport Grants Program.

Member for Shellharbour Anna Watson, has announced that a number of group including the Dapto Chiefs Junior Baseball Club, Oak Flats Swimming Club, and the Shellharbour City Seniors AFL Club, will share in the funding.

Almost $11,000 has been allocated for the Lake Illawarra Cricket Club, for the replacement of grandstand seating at Howard Fowles Oval.
