Police were busy conducting vehicle compliance in and around Wollongong on Sunday when they came across a drink driver.
Illawarra Highway Patrol pulled over a 50-year-old man from Newtown who was driving an unregistered car on Cliff Road.
They put him on the blower where he returned a positive alcohol reading of 0.136.
Officers were targeting noisy and non compliant vehicles during the blitz.
Police said several vehicles were stopped for various defects and noise emission breaches.
Those vehicles were referred to the EPA and or RMS testing officers for further inspection.
